Carol Cummings joins REMITATAX

Concord, MA - November 19, 2008 - Carol Cummings joins REMITATAX as the Director of Tax having over 25 years of experience in public accounting and taxation, formerly with Coopers & Lybrand and later in private industry.

Carol has managed the tax departments of several large international and multistate public corporations and has extensive experience with state and local sales and use tax, and income tax issues. Carol has successfully negotiated favorable audits resolutions including an initiative that resulted in a favorable letter ruling for a $1.3 million state tax refund. During her time with New England Business Service, Carol worked on voluntary disclosure agreements with numerous states and implemented a state tax strategy that saved the company over $4 million in state income taxes.  Most recently, Carol was the Director of Tax for Altra Industrial Motion, Inc. a leading multinational designer, producer and marketer of mechanical power transmission products with 40 worldwide locations and sales across 70 countries throughout the world.

Carol has her Bachelors of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Taxation, and she is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.
